4. Test results and certificates

Assay results and certificates apply only to the specific sample or item tested, in the condition in which it was received on the date of testing.
Every testing method has limits. XRF measures the surface of an item and cannot detect plating or filling beneath it. Fire assay measures bulk content from a sample and assumes the sample represents the whole item; this is not guaranteed for uneven material.
Stated accuracy figures on this website describe typical method performance, not a guarantee for every sample.
Certificates do not certify the origin, legal ownership or market value of an item unless they expressly say so.
Certificates are issued to the named client. We accept no responsibility to third parties who rely on a certificate without our written agreement.

5. Regulatory information

Our articles on licensing, exports, anti-money laundering and related topics summarise our understanding of the rules at the time of writing.
